Growing up in New Orleans, I am no stranger to publicly displayed religious images. I’ve always believed that the statutes, reliefs, and images have always helped mold the personality of the city. This familiarity made me feel even more connected to the city when I visited Barcelona.

Spiritual statues always capture my full attention. I wonder about that moment in time and how the artist decided to portray his subjects.
