A Touch of Tradition

There’s very few things that can slow me down but working with charcoals is on that very short list. It allows time to pass slowly for me because I know the sensitivity of the medium and it can not be rushed.

 

 

 

Sadness or just reality? Is happiness always displayed with a smile? I'd like to think it can be the opposite. I tried to express realism but through contentment. Luckily we don't all look the same, neither does self expression.

I love to exaggerate the human form. Here I tried to stay as close to reality as possible but I could help but to elongate the neck and intensify the core abdominal area...sue me;)
